Pastor Lowell Nelson teaches through Numbers Chapter 17: The Sign of the Selection on 10/19/2026 for our Monday Upper Room Bible Study.

When society tells us to control everything, Scripture reveals that discovering genuine mental peace begins when we yield our anxious strivings to God. Teaching verse by verse through Numbers 17, Pastor Lowell Nelson demonstrates how God supernaturally brings vibrant life out of deadness to silence rebellion and establish spiritual peace.

SERMON OVERVIEW
When dissatisfaction and anxiety take root, human nature quickly resists God's design and demands self-made authority. Following the judgment of Korah, Numbers 17 shows how God settled every accusation against His chosen leadership once and for all. By placing twelve dry, wooden staffs into the Holy of Holies before the Ark of the Covenant, God caused Aaron's rod alone to sprout buds, blossom, and bear ripe almonds overnight. This miracle proved that supernatural life from the dead is the true sign of divine calling. While Israel trembled in fear before a holy God, this sign foreshadowed Jesus Christ, our resurrected High Priest who conquered death to bring us lasting spiritual life.
