Galatians 5:11 And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.
Paul states that if he would compromise the message of the Gospel to include circumcision and works for salvation, then the persecution he was experiencing would cease. If Paul was no longer preaching faith alone in the cross alone. If Paul was no longer proclaiming that the work of Jesus alone was the only sufficiency, then the offense of the cross to all those who desire to perform any act of self righteousness would be removed
